Diameter PRO™ technology
Thermal Dynamics Diameter PRO technology was developed to improve hole cut quality on mild steel. Cutting precise hole equal to or larger than the plate thickness requires precise management of multiple variables in the cut process. Diameter PRO technology uses the capabilities of the Ultra-Cut plasma and the XT2 CNC to produce the best hole cut quality available today, and is effective over the entire range from 10 ga to 1 inch.
Diameter PRO technology is embedded in the CNC software. The software will recognize holes to be cut in the cut pattern and the operator clicks a single button to optimize the hole cutting parameters for a hole with near zero bevel. Diameter PRO technology runs in the cut parameter database, so it works with any nesting software.
Holes cut with Diameter PRO technology will be ready for further processing. The hole will be nearly cylindrical, with little or no bevel from top to bottom around the entire circumference of the hole. Users can expect these result with holes with a diameter as small as the thickness of the plate, from 10 ga up to 1 inch.
