Upgrades and Retro-fits 

Thermal Dynamics offers an array of possibilities for retro-fit or upgrade of your current cutting system. Ultra-Cut^® , Auto-Cut^® O2 and Auto-Cut^® systems can be configured to match customer cutting tables and application requirements. From the complete integrated control of the Ultra-Cut^® with Automated Gas Control to the conventional air plasma Auto-Cut^® systems, Thermal Dynamics has a plasma solution for your cutting requirements.

Option 1 – Full System Integration

Ultra-Cut^® plasma systems with the TDC XT CNC controller can be installed on a new or existing cutting table to achieve genuine high precision performance with automatic gas control ease of use.

Option 2 – Precision Plasma with TSC-3000^®

Ultra-Cut^® with Automatic Gas Control can also be configured to interface with any CNC controller. Ultra-Cut^® is available with an optional touch-screen process controller which can be mounted next to an already installed CNC.

The TSC-3000^® interface contains embedded cut parameter data used to set the plasma cut parameters. The operator selects the type of material to cut, the thickness of the material and can select either fastest cut or best quality cut. The Automatic Gas Control system translates these choices into the precise cut parameters required and applies them to the plasma system.

The Precision Plasma with HMI Option includes:

• Ultra-Cut^® precision plasma cutting system with Automatic Gas Control
• TSC-3000^® plasma system control interface
• Customer provided CNC controller
• Customer provided Torch Height Control
• Customer provided cutting table

Option 3 – Basic Plasma Upgrade

All thermal Dynamics systems are available for installation in combination with any already installed CNC and cutting table. Choose Ultra-Cut^® to upgrade to high precision cut performance. Choose Auto-Cut^® O2 to upgrade to high speed oxygen cutting. Or select an Auto-Cut^® plasma system to upgrade to an efficient air plasma system. All Ultra-Cut^® and Auto-Cut^® systems support the WMS^® cutting process for stainless steel and aluminum.

The Basic Plasma Upgrade Option includes:
